While details on the exact opening date are currently scarce, Michaels has already initiated online hiring for prospective store employees. Michaels is set to breathe new life into Lancaster's former Carnival Foods Building, occupying approximately 20,500 sq. ft. of this space. Previously home to Carnival Foods until its closure in 2016, the building remained vacant until Planet Fitness moved in with a 22,000 sq. ft. facility in late 2018. In mid-2020, Furniture With A Heart took over the opposite end, boasting nearly 27,000 sq. ft. Now, with Michaels' plans underway, this once-empty building will be fully revitalized!
