After nearly three decades as a beloved staple inside River Valley Mall, Bath & Body Works is preparing for a fresh start — and a brand-new look. The iconic retailer, known for filling homes with fragrances and self-care essentials, will officially move to a new standalone location in Lancaster this fall.
A Fragrant Legacy Inside River Valley Mall
For generations of shoppers, Bath & Body Works has been a must-visit stop at River Valley Mall — a place to explore new scents, stock up on seasonal favorites, or grab a signature candle. From shower gels and lotions to hand sanitizers, soaps, and home fragrances, the brand has remained one of the mall’s strongest and most enduring draws since the 1990s.
Founded in 1990 and headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, Bath & Body Works has grown into one of the nation’s leading specialty retailers, operating over 1,800 stores across North America. Its products are known for bold fragrances, fun packaging, and seasonal collections that keep customers coming back year-round.
A New Era on River Valley Boulevard
That long chapter at River Valley Mall will close this November, when Bath & Body Works relocates to its new home at 1400 River Valley Boulevard, Space # 400 — nestled between Dollar Tree and Five Below. The new store is targeted to open November 1, 2025, marking the beginning of a new era for the brand in Lancaster.
Introducing the Gingham+ Store Concept
The Lancaster location will showcase the retailer’s next-generation store design, known as the Gingham+ Concept — named after Bath & Body Works’ signature blue-and-white pattern. This updated design offers:
A more open, airy floor plan
Wider aisles and improved navigation
Distinct zones for key product categories
A refreshed, modern atmosphere that highlights the brand’s evolution
The move signals Bath & Body Works’ ongoing commitment to creating elevated, customer-friendly spaces that reflect its focus on fragrance, wellness, and joyful self-care.
As the store prepares to leave the mall that’s been home for decades, one thing is certain — Lancaster shoppers can look forward to a fresh, modern Bath & Body Works experience that still delivers the scents and smiles they know and love.
